授課對象資工系新生，不只強化對電腦軟硬體知識、程式設計、網路通訊、資料 庫系統等基本認識之外，更培養學生懂得善用網路資源，藉以獲得所需之資 訊。最終建立學生對資訊科學課程的整體性認識。

The course is designed for Computer Science freshmen to enhance their professional computer hardware/software knowledge, including programming, network communications, database management. It is also to improve their abilities for obtaining desired information from Internet. Finally, students will have enough understanding about the computer science program.
